STRAWBERRY SEASON AT NYHAVNS FÆRGEKRO
Fresh, red strawberries is the taste of summer and sun in Denmark!
The Danish strawberry season has arrived, and we love to celebrate it here at Nyhavns Færgekro with a delicious selection of desserts and light dishes with strawberries as the star!
Our selection consists of the following:
Strawberry glass — 45 kr.
Get a glass full of fresh strawberries with chocolate!
Strawberry tart — 95 kr.
Enjoy the chef’s homemade strawberry tart, of strawberries, pistachio, whipped cream, and chocolate on a delicious Mazarin cake.
Strawberry & Rhubarb Trifle — 95 kr.
Homemade trifle with rhubarb and strawberry compote, served with whipped cream, vanilla cream, and macarons.
Strawberry Spritz — 110 kr.
Enjoy an ice-cold strawberry Spritz with strawberry puré, gin, lemon, and champagne.

Starter
Smoked salmon
Smoked salmon topped with smoked cheese, and red onion- and capers vinaigrette. Served with bread and butter.
Main Course
Oxefilet
200 g oxe filet served with provencale sauce, bacon-wrapped green beans, and French fries.
Dessert
Strawberry tart

Dill-cured salmon — 125 kr.
Dill-marinated salmon served with a classic mustard dressing on organic sourdough bread.
Danish tartlets — 120 kr.
Warm Danish chicken and white asparagus tartlets. Also served vegetarian with mushroom filling - 2 pieces.
Löjrom — 155 kr.
Served with crème fraiche, red onion, and lemon, and grilled sourdough bread.
Smoked salmon salad — 165 kr.
Mixed salad with smoked salmon, cucumber, radish, and Færgekroens dressing.
MAIN COURSES
Danish tartlets — 175 kr.
Warm Danish chicken and white asparagus tartlets. Also served vegetarian with mushroom filling - 3 pieces.
Split peas ‘otto — 165 kr.
Yellow split peas with Danish cheese “Vestehavsost” and salad.
Butterfried plaice — 230 kr.
Butter fried plaice, served with small new potatoes, sugar snap peas, and parsley sauce.
Oxefilet — 275 kr.
200 g oxe filet served with provencale sauce, bacon-wrapped green beans, and French fries.
Fried Pork belly with parsley sauce — 215 kr.
Fried pork belly served with pickles, parsley sauce, and small new potatoes.
Traditional Danish meatballs — 195 kr.
Panfried minced pork meatballs served with steamed pointed cabbage, bechamel sauce and small new potatoes.
Færgekroens burger — 175 kr.
With beef patty, salad, pickles, and Færgekroens burger dressing. Served with French fries, ketchup, and homemade mayonnaise. Add on bacon and cheese for +15 kr.
Færgekroens portobello burger — 175 kr.
Grilled portobello mushroom marinated in garlic oil, salt, and pepper. Accompanied by French fries, ketchup, and homemade mayonnaise. Add on bacon and cheese for +15 kr.
Fish N Chips — 185 kr.
Enjoy our fried fillet of plaice with French fries and Færgekroen’s homemade tartar sauce.
DESSERTS
Traditional rhubarb trifle — 95 kr.
Homemade rhubarb compote with lightly whipped cream and macarons. Topped with red currant jelly, as our grandmother made it.
Chocolate cake — 95 kr.
Our homemade chocolate cake is made of rich Belgian chocolate. Served with homemade vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, and crumble.
