At Nyhavns Færgekro, classic Danish cuisine, attentive service and the unique atmosphere of the house create the setting for everything from milestone celebrations and dinners to receptions and corporate events. In the heart of Nyhavn, family, friends, colleagues and business partners gather around the table in surroundings where history is still felt in everything from the historic dining rooms to the atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
We welcome everything from birthdays, anniversaries, memorial gatherings, christenings, confirmations and weddings to receptions, meetings and corporate events. Unique Venue with Historical Charm
Our event rooms are located in one of Nyhavn’s oldest buildings dating back to the 1600s — a place where the history of Copenhagen is still very much alive. At Nyhavns Færgekro, you will find private dining and event rooms full of character, charm and a unique location in the heart of the city.
Ground Floor – Lively and Laid-Back Atmosphere
On the ground floor, you will find our open event spaces, where the lively atmosphere of the restaurant and Nyhavn becomes a natural part of the experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with historic details, classic Danish cuisine and the vibrant harbour life just outside the windows.
These rooms are especially well suited for lunches, dinners, receptions and social gatherings, where guests can enjoy the unique energy and atmosphere that define the house. Among the historic details are the marble floor from the old Dagmar Theatre and the iconic spiral staircase from a Frederiksberg tram — small pieces of history that still live on in the restaurant today.

First Floor – Private and Atmospheric Rooms
On the first floor, you will find our more private dining and event rooms, where the atmosphere is calmer and the surroundings are well suited for larger dinners, receptions and special celebrations. Natural light flows through the historic windows, while the history of the building still lives on in the details throughout the rooms.
The building once housed the White Star Line shipping company, which sold tickets for the Titanic among other destinations, and the old windowpanes still carry engraved names such as “New York.” Today, the first-floor rooms are often used for weddings, anniversaries, corporate events and other gatherings where a more private setting around the table is desired.

Classic Danish Cuisine for Both Small and Large Events
Our event menus are rooted in classic Danish dishes made from scratch with respect for the seasons, traditions and quality ingredients. For lunch, we serve traditional smørrebrød, our Øresund platter and classic Danish lunch selections, while the evening menus are created with a focus on generous dinners and good moments around the table. We also offer beverage packages, optional add-ons and a wide selection of homemade schnapps infused with berries, herbs and seasonal flavours.
Whether you are gathering for a smaller lunch, a larger dinner or a special celebration, we are happy to help create a solution that suits both the occasion and your guests.

Please note:
All party and group menus are for a minimum of 10 guests and must be ordered at least 5 weekdays before the event.
The same menu must be chosen for all guests, unless there are vegetarians, allergies, or other special dietary requirements in the party.
We reserve the right to change menus according to available deliveries.
We will always seat parties and groups together. In the case of large groups, seating may take place at more than one table. We will do our best to accommodate special requests, but we cannot guarantee specific seating areas in advance.
For parties of 10 guests or more, we kindly ask that payment is made as a single transaction for the entire group. We are not able to process individual payments for larger groups, as this helps ensure a smooth experience for both your party and our other guests.
Please note that a fee will be charged for payments made with corporate cards or cards issued outside the EU/EEA.
