Celebrate Easter in the heart of Copenhagen at Nyhavns Færgekro. From March 27 to April 6, 2026, we invite you to enjoy a classic Danish Easter lunch by the waterfront in Nyhavn.
Our Easter menu is served in three generous rounds, shared at the table and filled with traditional favourites – herring, hand-peeled shrimp, devilled eggs, warm Danish classics, and a sweet finish. Everything is prepared from scratch using quality ingredients and with deep respect for Danish Easter traditions.

Easter lunch menu
Our Easter lunch is served in three rounds with organic rye bread, sourdough bread, and butter.
First Serving
- Curried herring with red onion and soft-boiled egg
- Hand-peeled shrimp with homemade dill mayonnaise
- Devilled eggs
- Smoked salmon with aged Danish cheese and red onion & caper vinaigrette
- Fried plaice fillet with homemade remoulade
Second Serving
- Chicken salad with curry, apples, and bacon
- Danish meatballs with potato salad
- Warm liver pâté with mushrooms and bacon
Third Serving
- Chocolate mousse egg

Our Homemade Spiced Aquavit
At Nyhavns Færgekro, we have produced our own spiced aquavit for more than 40 years, using seasonal herbs and berries which makes each variation unique from season to season.
Our aquavit is crafted in our cellar brewery at Gråbrødretorv. Each bottle reflects old recipes, wild herbs, and seasonal ingredients. Some varieties are mild and rounded; others are bold and aromatic – all designed to complement the food and add warmth to the table.
