Close to Kongens Nytorv (The King’s New square) is the charming and idyllic Nyhavn (New Harbour), a small oasis in a busy and exciting capital. In the canal the old wooden sailboats are rocking gently to a song of days gone by alongside the old houses that have been respectfully restored.
One of these historic buildings houses Nyhavns Færgekro that has maintained the charming and maritime atmosphere. Thousands of emigrants has passed through these rooms to buy a ticket to go search for mysteries abroad. When the sun shines, you can see the names of the different destinations in the 1st floor windows, e.g. New York, Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.
